You can create, edit, and manage custom dashboards based off of HUMAN Sightline’s General Dashboard to view with your preferred components, statistics, and data to best suit your organization’s needs. This gives you flexibility on the types of information you want to observe for your applications.

You can learn how to customize General Dashboards with this article.

Prerequisites

  • Proper role permissions to customize dashboards. By default, this is an Admin role in Sightline.
  • If you want to use custom parameters as series data for certain widgets, then you need to configure these first. See Set Custom Parameters for more information.

Create a custom dashboard

You can create a custom dashboard from the Sightline Cyberfraud Defense > Explore > Traffic > General Dashboard or from any of the Sightline Cyberfraud Defense > Explore > Custom Dashboards.

From there, to create a new dashboard:

  1. Navigate to Dashboard Actions > New Dashboard. This opens the dashboard Edit Mode.
  2. Enter a Dashboard Name.
  3. Click the widget you want to add to your dashboard.
  4. Enter a Widget title. You can also add Details, which is a description that will appear with the widget.
  5. Depending on the type of widget, configure any series, filters, metrics, and other options as needed.
  6. Click Save widget.
  7. Repeat Steps 3-7 for each widget you want to include in your dashboard.
  8. Click Save .

Your new dashboard will now appear in Sightline Cyberfraud Defense > Explore > Custom Dashboards with the name you gave it in Step 2.

Edit a custom dashboard

You can edit a custom dashboard, including the custom dashboards that Sightline has by default, at any time. This updates the current dashboard with any new changes to widgets, data, or other options you make.

While you can edit the General Dashboard as well, this permanently changes the General Dashboard view and does not create a custom dashboard. This means that, if you ever want to return to the original General Dashboard setup, you’ll need to manually undo any changes you made to it. To avoid this, we recommend creating a copy of the General Dashboard, which creates a custom dashboard, and editing that one instead.

  1. Navigate to Dashboard Actions > Edit Dashboard. This opens the dashboard Edit Mode.
  2. Update the Dashboard Name if needed.
  3. Click the widget you want to edit.
  4. Update the Widget title or update the Details as needed.
  5. Depending on the type of widget, configure any series, filters, metrics, and other options as needed.
  6. Click Save widget.
  7. Repeat Steps 3-7 for each widget you want to update or include in your dashboard.
  8. Click Save .

Your dashboard will update and appear in Sightline Cyberfraud Defense > Explore > Custom Dashboards with the name you gave it in Step 2.

Duplicate a custom dashboard

You can make a copy of a custom dashboard. To do so:

  1. Navigate to Sightline Cyberfraud Defense > Explore > Custom Dashboards > Your custom Dashboard.
  2. Click Dashboard Actions .
  3. Click Duplicate Dashboard.
  4. Enter a Dashboard name, then click Duplicate.

Your duplicated dashboard will appear in Sightline Cyberfraud Defense > Explore > Custom Dashboards with the name you gave it in Step 4.

Delete a custom dashboard

You can delete a custom dashboard at any time. To do so:

Deleting a custom Dashboard is permanent. You cannot recover a Dashboard after you delete it.

  1. Navigate to Sightline Cyberfraud Defense > Explore > Custom Dashboard > Your custom Dashboard.
  2. Click Dashboard Actions .
  3. Click Delete Dashboard.
  4. Confirm you want to delete the dashboard.
