Integration options
Page Intelligence is a lightweight, asynchronous JavaScript tag. Deploy it in the site header directly or via a tag manager (see Deployment options). When the page loads, it detects whether the site visitor is IVT and injects an encrypted response into the window object (the JavaScript global context).
The encrypted response is a string. Decrypt it using the unique regex pattern HUMAN provides. HUMAN generates and assigns this pattern uniquely for your deployment:
- If the pattern matches the response, the traffic is human (not IVT).
- If the pattern does not match the response, the traffic is not human (IVT).
After you decrypt the result, use it to trigger additional workflows as needed (see Mitigation strategy).
Page Intelligence does not block traffic or interfere with page load.
Prerequisites
Before you integrate Page Intelligence, ensure you meet the following requirements:
- You have access to the site header, either directly or through a tag manager.
- You have a Page Intelligence tag and regex pattern from HUMAN.
Deployment options
You can deploy the Page Intelligence tag manually in your site header or through Google Tag Manager (GTM). The following comparison can help you choose the best option for your environment:
Next steps
After you review these integration options, configure the tag in Configuration, deploy using Deploy manually or Deploy with Google Tag Manager, validate with Validation, and apply mitigation workflows in Mitigation strategy.
