About the Ad Quality for Publishers Configuration Dashboard
The Ad Quality Configuration dashboard lets you monitor unwanted ads or completely stop them from showing to your consumers based on ad categories, brands, domains, and more. This ensures your consumers are served high quality ads and encourage conversion.
To track ad violations and determine which sources to block or allow, see About the Ad Quality Analytics Dashboard.

Configure ad quality rules
- Navigate to Ad Quality Configuration.
- Select a Profile or create a new one to assign your rules to. Each profile can have different sets of rules that you can apply as needed.
- For each source you want to create rules for, toggle on Enable.
- For each source you enabled, configure your enforcement rules. There are different enforcement options depending on the source:
- Edit Report Only List: Add or remove items to a reporting list. These items are only reported on and won’t be blocked automatically.
- Edit Blocking List: Add or remove items to a blocking list. These items are blocked automatically once they’re detected.
- Edit Configuration: Choose whether to ignore, report, or block by an ad type.
- Upload CSV: Upload a CSV file of custom items and choose whether to report or block them.
- Edit Allow List: Add or remove items to an allow list. These items override other enforcement rules and will always be allowed even if they match existing blocking rules. This is useful for adding exceptions to otherwise broadly applicable blocking rules.
Your changes to a profile are saved automatically. Once you finish setting up your rules, be sure to enable them.
Enable an ad quality configuration profile
After setting up your rules on a profile, you need to assign it to a Distribution for the rules to run.
- Navigate to Ad Quality Configuration.
- Select the Profile with the rules you want to enable.
- Click This profile is assigned to # distributions.
- Select which tags or domains to add the profile to.
You can create, edit, and manage tags from the Deployments menu.
- Click Submit.
If the tag you added the profile to is already enabled and you’ve injected its script, then your new ad quality rules will start running immediately. Otherwise, be sure to navigate to Deployments to enable each tag and add its script.
