The Alerts API is intended to be a clearing house for HUMAN Security customers to provide information regarding subsets of traffic that are suspected to be anomalous due to bot attacks or indicators of fraud. Information passed to the Alerts API is connected to our Secondary Detection engine, which is designed to review and evaluate the traffic. The Secondary Detection engine can both improve the efficacy of the product against a specific attack or threat, and also improve the efficacy of the product for future occurrences of similar threats.
There is no requirement that the alerts that are passed to the Alerts API are conclusively bot activity. The Secondary Detection engine is designed to gracefully handle uncertainty and alerts for which no adjustment or learning is necessary.
