# Installation

## Pre-installation steps

Please provide us with the output of the following two commands (these commands must be executed on the same server which will host Nginx Enforcer):

* `cat /etc/os-release`
* `nginx -V`   (capital V)

Based on provided commands we will build the necessary Nginx Enforcer module and send the installation instructions for your specific Nginx version and Linux distribution.

## Conflicting modules

Some Nginx modules don't work correctly when HUMAN Nginx Enforcer module is active.\
The list of known conflicting modules:

* ngx_http_limit_req_module module (`limit_req` directive)
