Deploy it in the site header directly or via a tag manager (see [Deployment options](#deployment-options)). When the page loads, it detects whether the site visitor is IVT and injects an encrypted response into the window object (the JavaScript global context). The encrypted response is a string. Decrypt it using the unique regex pattern HUMAN provides. HUMAN generates and assigns this pattern uniquely for your deployment: * If the pattern matches the response, the traffic is human (not IVT). * If the pattern does not match the response, the traffic is not human (IVT). After you decrypt the result, use it to trigger additional workflows as needed (see [Mitigation strategy](/advertising/page-intelligence/mitigation-strategy)). > **Note** > > Page Intelligence does not block traffic or interfere with page load. ## Prerequisites Before you integrate Page Intelligence, ensure you meet the following requirements: * You have access to the site header, either directly or through a tag manager. * You have a Page Intelligence tag and regex pattern from HUMAN. ## Deployment options You can deploy the Page Intelligence tag manually in your site header or through Google Tag Manager (GTM). The following comparison can help you choose the best option for your environment: | Option | Description | Considerations | | :--------------------------- | :-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | :----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | **Google Tag Manager (GTM)** | Deploy the tag through your GTM container. See [Deploy with Google Tag Manager](/advertising/page-intelligence/deploy-gtm). | HUMAN recommends deploying Page Intelligence via a tag manager such as GTM. | | **Manual** | Place the tag directly in the site header of your page templates or content management system. See [Deploy manually](/advertising/page-intelligence/deploy-manually). | You control when and where the tag loads. Manual deployment, and especially client-side response decryption, can expose the IVT detection logic. HUMAN recommends deploying via a tag manager when possible. | ## Next steps After you review these integration options, configure the tag in [Configuration](/advertising/page-intelligence/configuration), deploy using [Deploy manually](/advertising/page-intelligence/deploy-manually) or [Deploy with Google Tag Manager](/advertising/page-intelligence/deploy-gtm), validate with [Validation](/advertising/page-intelligence/validation), and apply mitigation workflows in [Mitigation strategy](/advertising/page-intelligence/mitigation-strategy). ## Docs - [Deploy with Google Tag Manager](https://docs.humansecurity.com/advertising/page-intelligence/deploy-gtm.md): Deploy Page Intelligence with Google Tag Manager. - [Deploy manually](https://docs.humansecurity.com/advertising/page-intelligence/deploy-manually.md): Deploy Page Intelligence manually.
